Furniture Design Dilemma living room

HELP! Need recommendations for a LUXE LEATHER SECTIONAL!!

Hi everyone! This is my first time writing on this site....I need your help!!! For years it seems I have been searching for the high quality leather sectional with deep comfy seating and I can't seem to find it! My head spins after searching and reading reviews...and in the past I have been "swayed" by some of the mainstream brands like RH only to find out that maybe the quality isn't what I was expecting for the price I was paying. Can you all help suggest some brands/models? I am not afraid to pay the bucks ......just want a great sectional that we will love to live in for a long time! What do you think?!

All depends on the style you are looking for. For a contemporary style you might consider Natuzzi, and for traditional Hancock & Moore.

I like Italian made leather furniture so Natuzzi is certainly a choice and they make all kinds of styles not just contemporary. I would however not buy a sectional IMO the worst seating for a lot of money. Comfort for me spells arm rests and only 2 people get one in a sectional. Look for a sofa and 2 chairs for good comfort for 4 people and five in a pinch. Go to good hig end furniture stores and sit until you find what you like for comfort. I guess it depends on where you live but most cities have at least one good furniture store and RH is not even close .

Yes that is overstock. I got the Fairhaven (http://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Fairhaven-Leather-Sectional/5129092/product.html). If you google the name of the product or manufacturer, you can often find out more info about the product also before you buy it. That is what I did, and also found a few additional pieces available. I would DEFINITELY recommend buying a membership for $19 bucks if you are going to order the Bentley. You get free or $1 shipping,and you earn "points" to spend on Big O as well. For example, on our sectional, we'll earn a little over $300 in points to spend that I plan to spend on a complimentary rug once the shipping has been set on the sectional.

I am curious as to why you don't want leather. It last longer. It's more sanitary. No dustmites and a good quality leather does not look like or feel like plastic. I agree that a good upholstery option is slipcovered as the slipcovers are washable. (FYI poster above Taylor King is a good option if you do decide on a fully upholstered option)

This off topic, but I thought I’d mention it. I have a vintage caramel leather chair from pottery barn that I had near a window. It was a rich creamy caramel colour and the change was so gradual I didn’t notice it until several months later. The light really does a number on leather and areas where the light/sun hit the chair has lightened the leather a lot. Those parts are more a grayish caramel and I wish I’d noticed it sooner. I’ve moved the chair away from the windows but the damage is done. Just a heads up since you said you wanted to put your couch in front of the window.

I'm not in a position to comment on the furniture supplier but would like to make a suggestion regarding your choice of colour for the sectional. On your sketch, you show a white sectional but in your samples some of the colours are quite daring for a large piece of furniture. I would opt for a more subdued colour that you won't get tired of. If you like colour, go for the colour in accent pillows, it your get tired of them, it's not a big expense to change your colour scheme. Here is the sectional in what looks like a greyish green with your favorite rug and flooring.

Hancock and Moore is the gold standard for high-quality leather furniture, they are one of a handful of companies still using solid maple frames (not plywood) and a true 8-way hand-tied suspension system. Most sectionals will be in the $ 10K price range or higher. The Your Way units come in deeper depths, and they will custom dimension for you as well. (disclaimer) My store is one of the largest H&M dealers in the USA, and I've looked at every brand out there - they are still the best for those willing to work in that price range.

Hancock and Moore has been a winner for me with my leather & fabric combo sofa. Most comfortable sofa I ever owned. It is 13 yrs old and still looks new. I've been pleased with my Flexsteel leather recliners. I've had them for a yr and use them daily and the leather looks new. I also have 2 Flexsteel fabric swivel chairs that have had a lot of use for the last 13 yrs and they have performed well and the chairs are just starting to look a tad tired so you might want to check them out, too. My partner's parents have owned multiple Natuzzi sofa's and it is what they sit on all day and night long. I have to say I haven't been impressed by the wear of both the cushions and the leather. They don't clean the leather and I don't know if Natuzzi offers different grades of leather which may have something to do with how it is wearing, too.
