Coretec Marianas Oak - photos or feedback?

Hi, this is my first time posting although I've been reading through posts and comments for months. We're building a house and it's time to make a decision on floors. Coretec Marianas Oak is now at the top of the list, but I've yet to find a photo other than the one on the company's website. We've brought home samples from the flooring store. We like it, but keep going back to the company's photo, which just looks so different. I've noticed that the manufacturers's photos just don't always look like the real thing so maybe this is the case. If anyone has used it, I would really love to see photos of your floors. Thanks!

Truer words have never been spoken. Select building finished from large samples of the actual material. Do not rely on pictures. Do not use small samples. Do not make selections of a computer screen.

Has anyone installed Coretec’s Conch Ash? it’s in their ”Original” Premium” line, whatever that means. Another one we’re considering is Coretec’s Aurora Oak. Would love feedback on either or both!

Check all the trim pieces from Coretec before installation! We had a Palo Alto Walnut Coretec floor installed in August. As they were getting ready to install the T-moulding I realized the color was off. Also it was supposed to be skimmed in the same pattern as the planking but wasn't. They didn't install it. The quarter round was also off but similar enough in color that we agreed to keep it. FIVE MONTHS later Coretec informed the installer that Palo Alto Walnut is discontinued and we won't be getting the T-moulding. Back to square one. I am so frustrated. My guess is that they are outsourcing the trim pieces without telling anyone. Someone mentioned that Shaw bought Coretec.

Thank you! I totally wish we had bright white walls as well. Sadly, whoever painted our house made the WHOLE house, including the ceilings, griege. Because they did the ceilings, it's made painting a whole big project that we won't be able to afford for a while (unless we stop being too lazy and scared to do it ourselves one day haha). Because we do plan to paint one day, and floors will out last our dull greige abode, I'm leaning toward saying F it and dealing with the close color scheme for a while. Definitely torn though. Another down side about greige is that without going dark, it feels like every sample either matches it too closely or clashes 😅

Beautiful homes you all have! We're thinking of installing this product in our entire first floor, large wall-in closet area and possibly our stairs. I found another brand that I love the color of, Montserrat Meraki Collection in Demure Natural, but am concerned about a few reviews on it's quality - chipping & buckling. It is a lower price point than the Coretec, and from reviews it seems its a lower quality, so now I'm back to strongly considering the Coretec. For the stairs, how do you feel they are holding up? Did you put a runner on them? Any issues with the Coretec now that you've had it in your homes for a while? Thank you for your feedback!

I have found some great info, but nothing on Marianas Oak specifically.

Well since you have samples, the samples are what you need to go by. Photos lie. They change color, values, etc. If you have the samples, why do you care about the photos?

You need to go by the samples. If you want to order a 2nd set to compare that may also be a good idea. We market a large portion of our floors online and we always tell people to use both pictures and physical samples to decide.
