Comments (13)lgmd - Can you send me a message through this site? I don't think I can message you, at least when I clicked on "lgmd" there wasn't an option to message. My daughter only started to make these a little while ago. I'd be happy to mail one to you She isn't selling them yet but tomorrow she has an appointment with a shop near her that sells plants, containers, water gardens etc. She'd love to get a job there but they only re-opened last week and business is still slow. She was furloughed last summer and has tried to keep busy during the pandemic. A year ago she moved out of her house and into a condo closer to work but she desperately misses her yard and garden. So now her condo is full of houseplants and seedlings and cuttings. Comments (19)Pitaya (dragon fruit) flower that I attempted to pollinate in my back yard a few days ago. Photo taken at 9 PM, the flower only opens at night, and there is a small window of time to pollinate - by morning, it is too late. I love dragon fruit, which is why I grow it. 7 years agoSince it's Father's Day, I'm posting a picture of my dad that I really like. I'm pretty sure my mom took this picture. He was born in 1907. After a year of engagement, they married at the end of 1930.

I should have posted "this". Someone got firewood for Fathers Day. Yesterday afternoon I posted "free" firewood on CL @ 12am someone emailed they were coming by!

My Dad (second from left) and three of his siblings. He was born in Germany in 1900, came to USA in 1923. I have no idea if the "sailor suit" looking outfits were actually some type of uniform at the time, or just a 'style' they liked and chose for this picture. He had an incredible sense of humor all of his life, in spite of all he went through. And I can see in this picture that mischievous look in his eyes that is one of my fondest memories of him.
Happy Father's Day to all the Dads, would be Dads, wanna be Dads, and substitute Dads out there!

7 years agoDec. 1951 twin sister and I came home from the hospital and met my dad and the rest of the family. He's been gone since Jan. 1988. Remembering him today and all the things he taught and did for me.
