Comments (50)I think each of us must do what is in our nature. Most people will give you a piece if you ask, and more often larger than the one you steal. I show my plants, and I would be really feel betrayed and hurt if gueast did that in my garden. How would you feel if I came into your garden and snitched a few pieces of a plant that you have been growing for 5 years and you prized it. After all a leaf fell off. Most nurseries would ask you not to return, and if your lucky not call the police. I hear them telling me that people often pick off the fuit on their trees that are for sell then they don't sell. Jeff has been to my garden and he know what I'm talking about. Now I have a list of people I would not invite. You are not welcome. Jeff I can't wait for you to stop by I have a big surprise for you waiting. Bring labels with you and a #2 soft lead pencil. You know I like giving away plants. Comments (2)Black sludgey mess? Is it very wet there, outside the recent rain that is? Woodland soil is usually moist and rich with organic material but not "sludgey." It is more like compost than sludge. Soil that is wet all the time could be described as being rather "gooey" or sludgey. You may wish to wait on your plantings right now. See what plants grow there naturally throughout this season. What plants grow there, may give an indication of what types of plants you could plant there next season. Might be less frustrating and more fruitful for you in the long run. FataMorgana...See MoreWalking between the raindrops (or showers), I took some new pics
Comments (13)Really lovely plants and combos Esther. Hosta & Heuchera make such a perfect pairing and you have a wonderful collection of both! Those darn squirrels just poke their noses into everything. One time my DH and I had gathered nearly a bushel basket of butternuts and then went in for a bite of lunch. When we came back out the squirrels had spread 99% of them back on the ground where they had been. We had to laugh, who was messing with who?...See MoreNeed Some ideas About Lawn Improvement for Exercise/Walking?
Comments (1)Add water and mow regularly to start. Once you have that going well, you can move on to fertilizing and all the other lawn potions as needed or not depending on your location, climate and grass species....See Morezkathy z7a NC
