Can anyone ID this plant by just the leaves-maybe mint family
Comments (5)Yup, Alliaria petiolata, Garlic Mustard. It's a biennial - makes a flowerless rosette of leaves the first year, and then has a good start when it flowers next spring. It's a terrible invasive around here in NJ - big swaths of woods are nothing but Garlic Mustard in the spring. Comments (5)I would give it a short hair cut to encourage new growth and make it send out more branching. Strip off lower leaves from the longer pieces you trimmed off and stick into water and they will root. (Put the stems on the windowsill in front of the sink and you won't forget about them.) Yes to the drainage. After they root, send some to me in the mail :c) I have several mints but none with bright pink stems....See Morenorthraleighguy
