Could you post some pics of what you’re dealing with?

these have little white flowers

this is in a few huge bushes around my yard biggest about 5 feet wide 3 feet high and approx, 3-4 feet wide( its spilling over sidewall)

I have a different variety of this, with only green also

I cant get rid of my shadow.. I'm sorry☹

The first one with the little pink flowers is Tradescantia pallida.

The plants with the white flowers you can trim like you would a tree. It will make fuller growth in a short time. It is hard to do, but because small plants of this pop up everywhere, you will need to weed out the opportunists. The plant with yellow flowers I have finally decided to remove from my yard because it makes rampant unstructured growth that I have not figured out how to contain. It is pretty while in flower but just grows into everything else. The purple plant in the 1st pictures can get very invasive. It is another plant you must define its limitations and cut back to them. The rest of the plants are much more self containing and slower to spread.

YOu have 2 plants called sedum arborescens and crassula tetragona

White and powdery is a species of cotyledon(not the germinating thing, but a crassula genus).

Go at ‘em with a hedge trimmer to get the shape you want, or do it more slowly with hedge shears or pruning shears. On the thicker stalks, cut at an angle to discourage water from collecting in the cut.

If you’re in the northern hemisphere, those Aeoniums should soon be resting for the summer.

thank you everyone for all your help. I will post more pictures in a few days so I dont get confused, and can get the ones you all labeled for me under control. they all have about 4+years of no maintenance. well, I will wait until it is not 100° out.

IF you number photos, that will help in not to get confused...You can go back to your posts to EDIT and add numbers (except the original/initial post). I am not sure if you noticed that I already suggested numbering them. That way you can easily refer to them anytime in the future.

There is a really great free app called PlantSnap that is free to download. You can use it to I.D. each plant and then look up their care :)

Also, there are lots of great FB groups of people who love succulents, and if you want to cut back on some they would love to rehome the cuttings!

I ended up with some aeoniums (the ones with the toothed leaf edges) when someone posted them on Nextdoor. You can do the same with your leftovers.

The one above the Aeonium arborescens atropurpureum that looks sort of like a jade with yellow flowers is Sedum dendroideum.

i'm glad someone mentioned the dendroideum.
