Blooms from Yesterday and Today

Yesterday's hard rains shredded most of the daylilies, but there were a few that made it. Surprisingly, they were purples and reds.

Black Panther had its ffo yesterday, and the rain didn't bother it at all. It looks like it's going to be a bit shorter than last year and not quite as well budded.

My new seedling ( (Alan Lane Agin X Cosmic. Sen.) X (Trimmer Seedling x Back Scratcher)) is rain proof and looking better each day.

Red Edition has been opening splotchy, but looked fine after yesterday's rain.

This is the cleanest bloom on Crowning Fire so far.

Buddy's Victoria Jade was also immune to the storms.

The much-needed water and cooler temps made the colors on daylilies today much richer.

No Man's Land showed a very detailed pattern.

Baja California

Janet and Bill

Maui Sunset with a double ffo. This is registerd as a late, but always blooms early here. I'm having a lot of mids and lates bloom with the earlies. I think Kay said this happened in her garden too this year.

It's just the beginning for Spacecoast Francis Busby. The clump has a dozen scapes. Baja California is in the background.

More to come ...
