The time has come to take on the exterior and get rid of the pistachio green!! Yay! Unfortunately, I'm having trouble envisioning what I want. The garage door has to be replaced and plan is to replace with a metal door, so I need to pick a color. Which also means it's time to do new siding and paint the brick. The wrought iron on the porch is not necessary and I don't like the look, so I'm open to suggestions!

You could replace the wrought iron with more substantial columns. Paint the siding, not the brick. Brick is nice; pick a color from it or the mortar and use it for the siding. Personally, I’d lose the shutters and probably go with a wider trim.

i have no photoshop skills, hopefully someone will post idea renderings.

I would leave the brick, its very nice, but, try and paint the garage and the garage door, a color very close to the brick, so that the garage blends in with the house like the other side of the house. Right now, the garage looks like it is tacked on. I do like the shutters on those top two windows. You could use the sage green, or other color on the top half, but, bottom floor of the house, needs to all blend together.

The lower pitch of that barn roof looks purely ornamental. Why not remove it? You'll just need to replace some cladding and trim. And wouldn't you like taller windows for the living room? These are centered under the gable.

We painted some samples on the house and now we are leaning towards Sherwin Williams Backdrop on the body of the house. We like that it looks a little grayer than Warm Stone. We feel like we have to go with something at least that dark because the house is surrounded by trees that drop a ton of stuff on it, and we have the Georgia red clay to deal with, too. Now we are struggling with deciding what colors the garage doors, fascia and gutters should be. Should we use the window trim color (Morris Room Grey) or use the body color (Backdrop)? We have plans to replace the garage door and roof eventually, but we need to figure out what looks best for now until we can do that. All advice is welcome!

it's obvious where the shutters on the ground floor were removed because the bricks look lighter there. You should carefully powerwash the bricks so that everything is the same color.
