Can you help me identify this cabinet style?
Comments (1)The second picture shows the frame above the doors so it looks to me like the lowers are an inset style with no intermediate rails. The uppers (3rd picture is the only one that shows the definitely overlay door) may be frameless with side panels to mimick inset. Pretty sure you have to go very high end into full custom lines for this appearance with the national companies. However I am not a KD, just someone who has done both inset and frameless kitchens in the past. Incidentally, speaking from experience, those baseboard toekicks depicted are a bad idea ergonomically. I have one on the outside of my peninsula since i wanted my toekick drawer there to be the full depth of my 16 inch deep cabinet on that side. I am always touching it when I stand on that side of the peninsula (thereby opening the drawer). Keep space for your toes and you will be happier. It was a deliberate choice for me since I needed the storage but I really notice it because every time my toes push that drawer it opens ("toekick" indeed!)....See MoreHelp identifying the style of my home

Comments (21)I once heard the architecture critic for the SF Chronicle refer to this as "neo-Mexiterranean". In other words, kind of a mix of Mexican, Spanish, Italian, and French Mediterranean. He didn't mean this kindly, either, I'm afraid. ;-)...See MoreCan you help me identify the style of this cabinet door?
