We used low voltage lighting to uplight the T and G Fir roof and one barn light fixture over the bar area. We have since put led Edison type lighting following the peak which adds more light to the uncovered area of the deck.

I can't quite imagine this room, but I have had screened in porches on two houses in my life. I loved the look of a table with a lamp on a screened porch, especially on a dark rainy day, when sitting out there felt down right cozy due to those lamps.

cccrafter-That probably makes more sense than can lights facing down. There does seem to be a good amount of light on your deck with other lighting features. We are doing a wood fireplace and also a table with gas/electric fire in the middle. I envisioned some sort of candle on the dining table too. We won't have light from neighbors, so trying to make sure I'm not redoing this all 6 months after the house is done!

Anglophobia-I wouldn't have thought about a lamp! I am putting a sideboard type stand along the pantry wall facing the table, so that gives me some more lighting options. I had thought about doing something with candles on the dining table, which would give it a nice feel too.
