Comments (5)Check out the discussion in this post: http://forums2.gardenweb.com/discussions/4088515/help-with-monstera-adansonii?n=24 "adansonii is the same as friedrichsthalii. What's confusing is that juvenile forms of my adansonii never have as many holes as my friedrichsthalii, the latter stays much smaller. But the leaf shape, texture and color are the same on both. Adansonii is a fast-growing, rampant 'weed' in and outside my shadehouse and I'm constantly pulling runners from the ground and off vertical surfaces where it tries to climb. I've thrown out garbage cans full over the years." - Russ in the linked thread You may also be interested in this article: http://www.exoticrainforest.com/Monstera%20adansonii%20pc.html...See MoreMonstera adansonii / obliqua yellowing leaves
Comments (14)Thanks for your help, tropicbreesent. I will repot it with an orchid mix and try just keeping the soil slightly moist, rather than watering deeply and letting it dry completely between waterings. Hopefully this does the trick! (And do you think it is worth it to keep a pebble tray beneath for added humidity in the air?) If anyone else has thoughts, I'd welcome them too! (Including about where I could buy another of these plants!) Thanks again!...See MoreMonstera Adansonii Help!!!
Comments (12)Hello @osulala & @damask_rose_zone9b An update on my propagation, all of the cuttings has rooted perfectly. Just potted them up in soil yesterday. The mother plant is growing new leaf from the node. But the way it looks like the new growth is a really small leaf and has no fenestration. Any idea why is that? Before the cut all leaves had lots of holes in them. And the way it looked like even the propagated sections are growing small leaves without holes. Why is that? It gets enough light. My monstera deliciosa is doing fine at the same location. Have great fenestration on them. Thank you...See MoreSpots on monstera adansonii
