Hey all Here is a closer look at the cabinet-tile-granite intersection on the other side. Also, the extraction hood is white as it has the protective film still on it. I guess the oven had blue film on on vs the white on the hood - the hood underneath is stainless steel. Thanks for all the opinions - agree with most that we are leaning to the white but also know we have ROYALLY screwed up on the cool/warm tone mixture. More thoughts welcomed... just not sure if we should now grout white or choose another tile all together. We are obviously not good interior designers :( We considered the following tile - but that would involve ripping out the current one, a change order and the cost of the new tile. Again more thoughts welcomed :(

Hi, the tiling job is in a brand new house, done by a sub-contractor of our builder. We didnt really have a choice but trusted our building to select someone who does good work. The other subs he hired seemed to do great work, and the floor looked good so I guess we assumed he knew how to do backsplash for kitchen & bath... We talked to the builder & sub - today, he started to rip down the tile, all the while destroying our brand new sheetrock.. We had to basically tell him how to re-do it, explain step by step. cross your fingers! Going to re-post this with tile in the subject line to get more responses, please take a look! I chose to do snow white for the grout (debated between that and the bright white). I'll post a picture after it's grouted. Francoise...the corner cabinet is going to stay open. That was a last minute change to our plan when our cabinet maker suggested an articulated door for the corner uppers. I don't care for the function/feel of a hinged door so I spontaneously decided to have an open corner. I tweaked it a bit after seeing remodelqueen's corners on the hidden gems thread and set it back an inch so it wouldn't look like a cabinet without doors (boy do I love this website!). I'll post more pictures of the cabinets once everything is in.

Hello! Did you ever make a backsplash decision? We have recently renovated our kitchen and have the Pra Sands countertops and white cabinets. I adore the Pra Sands, but I am struggling with the backsplash. My tile person told me to live with it a bit and see how the colors felt in the space. At the moment the backsplash area is white (primed), and I think the white is too plain and I am looking at occasional very light accents with some of the colors within the countertops. I would love to see where you ended up as it looks like you really did your research and I am feeling mostly overwhelmed every time I look at tile! Thanks for any help! debra
