I am trying to find a tile used on a backsplash on HGTV "Home Town"

Mary Smith

I am trying to find the porcelain tile used on a backsplash on the HGTV show "Home Town." It was on season 3, episode 11, I think. The tile looked like tin ceiling tile, a bit worn, but made of porcelain. Tiles appeared to be about 12" x 12". Primarily white with distressing.

If you can identify the name of the house, then here is the source for suppliers on the show.

Looks like anaglypta ! You're certain its tile?

The resemblance to anaglypta is part of the appeal. However, they showed the tile being cut and installed on the show. I have sent a message to the show staff at HGTV and got only a "canned" response. I'll try the link you sent and also check Wayfair. Thanks!

Found it on City Home Center's Instagram page:

It's call Track Art Deco tile. Color is Blanco. When I used the google, this is the first place on the list that carries it: https://stonesolutions.com/products/ceramic/track-art-deco/

Happy Houzzing! :)

Below appears to be the distributor. They can tell you the closet location to purchase it.

I cannot believe you found this info for me! We are finally remodeling after being displaced by Hurricane Harvey. I have spent weeks looking for this - thank you so much!

Mary, did you use this tile? Just watched this episode and that is the perfect backsplash tile we’ve been looking 8 years to find! Hope it worked for you!

Sorry if this is a duplicate response - couldn’t tell if the first went through.

I did not use the tile as it comes in 36x12 pieces. My space has a lot of angles and would require a lot of cuts, so it wouldn’t Work. I still love it, though!

Where can I find the tile used on the fireplace in season 4 episode 16. Fire and water?

I'm wondering how to use the 12x36 tile. My backsplash area is 18" high. The tile looks like it is two squares x 6 squares. If you split the 12 x 36 to make two pieces of 12 x 18 there would be a cut/grout every 2 squares from top to bottom. ? How would that looks?

Jane and Mary, what did you end up using? I also liked this tile from another Home Town episode (The James House/Countryside in the City - Season Two Episode 3) - Somer Tile Tower Beige). It didn't look dark edged like this on the program.

And this plain tile:

The larger tile required too many cuts and waste for my kitchen. I ultimately used one similar to the plain tile shown above. It has some slight variation in color and looks handmade. I got the field tile from Home Depot, the bullnose trim from Wayfair. Called Amagansett.

Photo of the Amagansett tile. It’s in a brick-set pattern with a 1/3 offset

Mary, it looks nice. Would you share a photo of your kitchen with the counter top?

Sunfeather, I ordered samples of both blanco and beige. We haven’t installed yet, but we are considering beige for our kitchen and blanco for our master bath. That’s an interesting question about the grout of you cut the tile to 18”. I was curious enough about the grout to ask the manufacturer if we should try to go groutless. They recommend 1/8" grout joint. I wonder of you matched the tile color if it would look best.

Hi. Where did you order the samples from?

I contacted the manufacturer via email (info@ottimoceramics.com) and they told me who their local distributor is. Then I ordered the samples from the distributor. Still haven't committed to the install.
