Jackie is a really nice bloom, but you'll need heat to drive the shape. Elsie bloomed late for me, so I put it in the GH to finish. from my notes... Elsie 3" rounded flowers of dark pink with lighter pink to white area. Petals round, heavily overlapping. Leaves: beautiful emerald green, broad oval. Compact growth habit. During development we called it the âÂÂpainted pinkâÂÂ, as when flowers are at their pink it looks like the colors were painted on. 3-4â flowers in good clusters. Excellent form and habit. Growth habit: semi-compact Scent: medium floral, Nice thick substance, fat buds and sturdy inflo stems. Stunning pink and white swirl strong sweet fragrance. Even its foliage is highly unique; wavy and corrugated. The flower (up to 4") is sort of a chameleon, varies in shape and color intensity by the season, but there's no mistaking the dense, wavy foliage. A slow grower with thick wood - this is one of a kind. Growth habit:: compact Scent:: light floral, fruity Peach scent..not super strong..but nice. Changes from one color to other color, start out with peachy blush on white petal then turn into yellow so you get multi-color in one bundle of flowers, nice textures, peachy red on the back of the petals. very heavy bloomer. Heat lover. one the the thickest branches I've seen ..blooms in nice big clusters and gets this beautiful pagoda shape blooms. I also had another one that is a long seedling and I tie that one to the next one and it is doing well. This happen a couple of months ago. Not sure why but I feel that you can always try to fix it before you need to cut it. Barb p.s. You can see where it bend but it has healed over.

Dear Friends, The tree in this thread grew from a cutting I brought back from Maui about 8 years ago. I've kept it alive and reasonably well even in this relatively-cold clime, though it has been plagued, each winter, by spider mites. Due to the climate and the mites, it has only bloomed once, long ago. Then last year the branch was broken that gave rise to this thread and the things I've learned here have helped me make my plumeria a much happier plant. The result is that it is blooming! In addition, I have two cuttings, both of which are putting out new leaf spikes (though I've seen no roots yet and am following directions until I do). So I wanted to share them with you, who have done so much to help make it happen. Thanks again for your time and energy and knowledge and encouragement! So is this normal? i added the picture so you could see the clear sticky sap. i dont see ang bugs? the plant seems healthy. is my girl okay or should i be worried?? i am in Utah growing a tropical plant from hawaii😅 its been 3 years of growing and ive never gotten a flower. i try to give her the best care possible while living in a dry climate with super cold winters. Am i doing something wrong? is there more to be done? ive read the comments on this thread that started 15 years ago😳 and i still am not sure if this is okay not. any tips are much appreciated
