Congratulations on your cute house. I think that the window choice depends on which direction you want to move the house. More toward Midcentury Modern or Colonial/traditional. Show us some interior photos highlighting doors and woodwork--the choice of windows needs to consider these features.

I think Hale Navy would look nice. It's a cute home. The shutters, however, need to go, or bring in some made of wood (think cedar). the wood w/the Hale color and the brick would look nice.

Since you have the gray roof, you can do other combos too.

I like the Urbane bronze on the siding, fired brick for the door, and a soft gray or white for the trim

If Grover comes along, maybe she can photoshop a new color and new shutters for you

I love this dark gray w/the brick. but the black trim around the windows (without shutters!) and darker garage door, really make this stand out. (I could do w/o the orange door though)

this is more of a teal, but gives you an idea of how it looks w/those white shutters. I don't particularly care for this tone. the white is way too stark against the siding tone w/that brick. This would look better w/painted brick, or diff trim color.

I would square off the entry and the garage. I might keep the shutters if you're not going modern.

And groveraxsie, I hadn't even thought of changing the angles or squaring things off. The doorway opening area angles do look odd don't they? Now I'm wondering about whether some kind of small roof projection out over the front stoop might help make it look that much better?.

Wow, I think that looks so much better, less like a hole in the house and just a while lot more finished in appearance! Maybe if there's not enough room for both sidelights, we could just do the door with 1/2 glass and 6 muntins.....

Wow is right - Groveraxle turned this humble home into something very elegant! May I suggest tone on tone shutters & garage door & some pachysandra to add to her fine rendition? Also, there are some really cool looking mailboxes on the market where you can incorporate

your address numbers on the front: about $200, but perhaps a nice splurge.

Love the gray shutters and garage door as well as landscaping input with the pachysandra and some changes to the shape of plantings on the left. Wondering if a black front door would be too dark with this color scheme or would it add to this more sophisticated look?

Also, it's possible for us to get gray vinyl on the exterior of the windows, which we may be redoing. I was going to do white but now I'm wondering about jumping into the gray???
