Hazelnuts and Japanese Beetles

Every year starting in mid June through about mid August, my American hazelnuts are attacked by Japanese beetles eating the leaves. Question: If I use a grub control product around them and the immediate area, would it reduce the numbers, or can I assume they're coming from all over and don't even bother?

I usually just spray them individually with Seven spray or knock them into soapy water. This is in southern Missouri. My plants in Arkansas aren't even bothered by JB's.
