I've always thought this was a beautiful and fascinating rose, but also a very problematic one in that it seems in many climates subject to disease. The leaves on your rose look pristine so it must like your conditions. How long have you had it, and does it bloom a lot for you? Ingrid

My goodness Tracy, your roses are stunning! I’ve had mine for several years and so far have only pruned the canes that have died and trimmed some that have gotten really long. I guess I treat mine as a climber, but I’m not very good at it. I love this rose, the blooms and fragrance are both lovely. I’m sure someone who knows what they’re talking about will chime in! Do you get any repeat bloom from yours? Mine has a good spring flush, and occasionally a few blooms later in the season. This picture is from 2018
