master bedroom needs help!!
Comments (6)I like the mirror, but I would think about doing three of the mirrors that fit on the back of the door, stacked horizontally one over the other, for a headboard effect and a bit more interest. Like this, tho I would be tempted to paint the frames in a pewter finish, rather than the black: over the door mirror The other site I might suggest is the one below. The pieces are expensive, but there are some amazing things that would give you texture and interest on the wall. There is even a paisley! artisan house Love your wall color, and I am nuts about paisley!...See MoreDecorating this wall in our master bedroom... Need some help.
Comments (11)Your room is very nice. But I think to fill that wall with art/photos, you're either going to have to have very large pieces or many of them. It's not possible to tell from the one view, but the first thing I thought when I saw your pic is that I would move the head of the bed over to that wall. I am assuming there is a window on the other side of the bed to match the one we see? If so, then that wall between them is much smaller for hanging art. It also might be possible to partially block the view of the dog crates if they are behind the bed when entering the room (or could they go on the wall the door is on, so they aren't so prominent from the door view?) Placing art above the dog crates is going to look odd and unfinished to me....See MoreI need advice for my master bedroom.
Comments (7)nice room..I especially love your dresser! as much as love chandeliers-no I wouldn't get one..what's your ceiling height? i might be wrong but they look 8 feet high(as ours do too)..given you usually need at least a foot of a chain for a chandelier/pendant not to look awkward-i wouldn't put it over a bed where people can for example..umm..sit up very abrupltly..or..jump on a bed when they see a ..umm..lizard?..in short you don't want to remember not to bang up your head every time. seating areas are different; they're used at daytime when we're more alert etc. Frankly if I'm mistaken and ceilings are 9 feet-also wouldn't do it. Art-would do..something no glass..like an oil painting..without a frame..not too heavy.. or wouldn't. looks nice at is i'd do it if I find something I love..I wouldn't look for a piece to have there just to have there, let's put it this way. (you can see I like to be prepared for all sorts of things)) you should see my purse..)) yes to taller lamps..I like yours btw..I have this personal thing against visual lines perfectly aligned though..I think also some more contrast either in color or material will look nice as for the bedding..well it needs to be something you love (do you have any preferences? more casual? more formal? solid? patterned? do you like to change sets and looks , or would you rather have a quilt/coverlet/comforter that's always there for example? you have many options with bedding. think what's more to your taste), plus two more regular pillows(or two bigger ones), plus one longer accent pillow-ideally..that is, if you like to read in bed for example. the best combination to me. that's personal of course. if you mostly sleep there you can keep it the way it's comfortable to you, more dialed down ..but do get plumpier pillows and one(max two if you like the idea) for an accent..and make it fun..cozy, textured...linen? velvet? something you'll enjoy too, to lean on etc....See MoreI am remodeling master bedroom & need help,
Comments (0)ON One accent wall I am putting up beautiful damask wallpaper featuring large white design. So, I am trying to find a gorgeous coverlet/quilt in white to compliment the paper . Have a brass-bronze queen bed. Any ideas where to look online? I live in Alaska & can't run out to a store. I have already looked on ebay & pottery barn & bed bath & beyond. Am willing to look at designer coverlet/quilt sets, just where?...See Moredeb s
