Comments (5)Hi Eclipse, Shrubs is quite right, that IS a Hawrothia of some type of truncata or truncata hybrid. I might add quite lovely, I've never seen one w/ rounded, curved leaves like that. The distinctive characteristic of H. truncata are those sort of chopped off looking leaves, mine are squared off, not round as yours & some folks refer to how they look as sort of the spines of books if you now what I mean. Comments (5)- Pot is 8" deep, same pot it was in earlier, but plant was at a lower soil level. I was worried it was cramped growing up against the sides of the pot so I brought the soil level up. - I can take a picture of the roots first thing tomorrow morning - Soil was 50/50 mix of Hoffman's perlite (sifted) and Dr. Earth cactus/succulent potting soil mix. - It's in the same location it's been in for several years....See MoreBrown leaves on Haworthia?
Comments (11)@niksouthafrica oh cool they do look similar, love the little bristles on them. i've never heard of cymbiformis var. setulifera before but i'm glad i know that now to better understand what type of haworthia this is. i'm still getting into learning about identifying the types of haworthia and differentiating them from each other so thank you for sharing this! helped a lot esp with this specific one since i pretty much had no idea what species it was when i first bought it....See More- 5 years agolast modified: 5 years ago
