That cut is beautiful. I have had similar and kind of want to go there again. The issue is I love a lazy top bun. I work in a very conservative industry and the top bun works on lazy mornings. I might go back to chin length next appointment....but I will miss throwing it up

Of course, when I washed and dried this morning (had to since workout sweat is rather unbecoming), it wants to flip every which way but the right one and I feel like my styling efforts produced a helmet of old lady hair. Maybe it doesn't look as bad as I feel it does, but somehow even with a great cut it always takes a few days before I can get the hair to cooperate fully. ::sigh:: First world problem, for sure.

I hate how my hair looks after I leave the salon, so I can never take a photo or judge at that moment. She does great cuts, but never styles it right. I usually come home, spritz it all over with water, ruffle it up, and then blow it the way I prefer.

Seriously, how can that be a thing? It totally IS a thing though! Yesterday my stylist had the long points of my hair in front swinging forward in perfect unison. Today one side looks fine, and the other is mangled, demanding to be allowed to flip backwards. Ugh! Stupid hair.

Since there are....issues :( I can't do short hair...not sure I would want it short anyway. I find long to be so very much simpler. I cut it myself when I absolutely have to...I wash it and hit it with the curling iron and that does it for me for 3-4 days. Sometimes (yikes!) I even neglect to find the comb..

Hair is an interesting thing...I'm surely not the only one who's cried over a bad salon visit? And absolutely HATED herself for doing so. Like, really disgusted about caring over such a thing.

Penny, the sea salt spray I mentioned above was by NYMBB. It not only reeked (to me) of coconut, it really cr@pped up my hair. Someone used it in a video and it seemed worth trying. It was from Target and didn't cost much. Maybe I used it wrong.

Well I think you look good natural. You are so lucky to have wavy hair!!! Anyway, I tried to give you strawberry blond. I have to color it in manually so use your imagination. I didn’t do a good job of it but I was inspired by Penny’s idea. That picture has some golden in it I love but couldn’t seem to do here.

I just like that you gave me good arched eyebrows! I kinda like the strawberry blonde, but plan to keep growing in my natural color for awhile and see where that leads me.

Here's mine, front and back. Finally, in my old age I have a style I like and can maintain. It takes me less than 10 minutes to dry and I have a fair amount of hair. What you can’t see in the pix are the 5” of incoming grey/white. My stylist says she loves the new color and the texture is great. She also always suggests I try drying my hair naturally with a little product, like IdaClaire. Maybe this summer....

I just cut off 7 inches and I love it! Long bob lot’s of texture.

Bunny, I've been using Aquage Uplifting Foam for a couple of months and love it. My hair is thick and just below the shoulders, but it's sometimes baby fine and hard to add volume. The trick for me with Aquage is to shake the bottle well (from a youtuber) and use more than you'd think all around the crown, rub it in good, and then I comb it through the rest of the hair.

Blow dry it until completely dried. Now I can wash and wear for 3 or 4 days and still have volume.

One reason I won't go shorter is since I'm home a lot I have to put my hair into a ponytail or I'll go nuts if hair touches my face and gets near my eye's.

I gave myself some long side swept bangs, the kind that I brush back, not like the bangs above, so it adds to the lift and fits in a ponytail. :)

Just resurrecting this to say that I felt brave at a recent salon appointment and had my stylist give me a pixie bob. Not a huge departure from my bob, just a good deal shorter and more piecey. Gosh, it feels good to have short hair again. I am also growing in my natural color(s) - a mix of dark to medium blonde with some silver and white, and growing out my bangs. Pardon my shiny face (it's so hot here), but I feel more "me" than I have in some time. Here's to carefree summer hair!

My hair has grown back in - yay! It seems curlier and my stylist said sometimes it comes in curly but it doesn‘t stay that way for everyone. Whatever, I’m just so happy it’s back to it’s former volume. I‘ve been using a Diva Curl styling product and I’m happy with the results.

Love everyone's short hair, but for me, having those bobs with bangs and sides sweeping into my face would make me nuts. I have thin, fine, straight hair and right now it is all pulled back in a ponytail with a headband to keep stray wisps from getting into my face. Sigh. Since I seem to be losing my jawline (look fine from the front so far, but side view is awful now), I am trying to stop caring! What I would give though for thick hair!

I live in a ponytail, too, and stopped checking my profile. My neck and chin, eek!

I used to always wear a thick shelf of bangs to my eyebrows. Now I can't stand hair flat against my face so I've let them grow a bit and wear more to the side. If I could get away with it, I'd just get a buzz cut.

I've gotten to the point where a full fringe of bangs drives me nuts. Mine are growing out, and are worn sideswept. I also often take the longer sides of my hair and tuck them behind my ears ... which kinda makes me think I should just get it cut short over my ears and be done with it, but then I feel like I'd be cutting off my options!

Unless it has lots of body, (which mine doesn’t) thick hair really isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. I just had my hair thinned and 4 inches cut off and I still it feel like I’ve got a mop on my head. My hair also grows super fast which doesn’t help the cause either. Gahhh!!!
