If it is young, it is OK at least down to 28 deg. Once it is well established it should be capable of surviving 15 deg weather, with a little set back of course. I have one that bears well in a pot on my patio and i only take it in if the temperature is expected to drop below 20 deg.

This is a Meyer, so it is sensitive to light changes. I recommend you move it outside to full shade; after 2 weeks move it to partial shade; and after another 2 weeks move it to full sun. If you do that you should avoid the infamous leaf drop so common in moving in or out for a Meyer. Reverse the process in the Fall to bring it inside. I would not pick off the flowers; the tree will just make more flowers, using energy it needs for new growth. After the flowers are gone, if there is any fruit set, you can thin it to a few depending on the size and location of the fruit... or the plant might simply thin itself, although that is not often the habit of Meyers. If you can post a photo of the whole tree, and later of the small fruit (if any), we can give you better advice. Your flowers seem to lack the signature purple base of Meyer flowers; that could be because it has been inside, or it could be that the tree is immature, in which case the flowers will likely not set fruit.

If this will make you feel any better. I had a lemon meyer that I lost all hope on. Every branch went bald, every leaf and branch died. DEAD So instead of tossing it, I brought it to my work and stuck it in a corner surrounded by tall windows. I watered when the soil dried out. I thought, maybe at least there might be a healthy root or too. Just this past week, it is sprouting new growth from the trunk and a bit from the top, while the rest over 3/4 of the top is dead. Completly brown branches. I will take a pic and post for you..I couldn't believe it. I do have alot of dead branches to trim. It came back though....:-) So don't give up until it is in it's perfect enviroment, outdoors and in full sun, and see the miracle that might happen....If not, you can't say you didn't give that poor thing your best shot...:-)

No garage, unfortunately. I'm definitely new at this and didn't know if moonlight mattered or not. Last night I left it in the room we do our homeschooling in, because it has a south facing window and I just closed the doors and left the windows open to let in outside air. I put it back outside around 7 this morning. My neighbor saw the kids do it and she was the one who alerted me to it happening. I called the police who went and talked to the parents, but because they're kids and the only damage was to my plants they said there wasn't much they could do. I've wanted fruit trees for years but didn't think I could do it as a renter, so for the past two years we've just had tomatoes and this year I added strawberries, basil and peppers. When I found out a few weeks ago that lemons can be grown in a pot I got really excited about it. If I can keep this alive I'm thinking about getting a potted kumquat or pomegranate tree next year. When I'm able to buy a house there are 7 other fruit trees I'd like to have! I've only had my meyer lemon for less than a week so I'd hate to see it die already, especially for reasons having nothing to do with how well I care for it. I'm trying to learn as much as I can and I definitely appreciate this forum. I've found a lot of good information here! I do have two other questions if anyone wouldn't mind answering. Can anyone tell me what is going on with this leaf? It looked fine yesterday and now it has this spot on it that is a much lighter green. I saw one other leaf that looked like the same thing was happening to it but on a smaller scale. My other question is: the tree arrived pruned to have a tree shape, but the more I've read and looked at pictures, I think I'd prefer more of a shrub/bush shape. It is possible to get it to that sort of shape again over time? For instance, if I don't prune the lower growth will it eventually fill out down there again? Here is a picture of the whole tree:
