Hi All,

Hoping you can help me out here.

Lintel is going in tomorrow for the window over the sink below.

We are going for a minimalistic space on the 3m run of cabinets with no high units.

The main lighting for the room will be through spotlights on the flat of the vaulted ceiling. This means there is no direct lighting onto the sink countertop.

I am thinking I have 2 options.

1. Spotlights built into the reveal:

2. Simple Wall lights mounted in the areas below:

In order to do option 1 I have to get the builder to put in the lintel higher so we can accommodate the spotlight and box around them.

Has anyone seen this done before?

I’m thinking my best option for now if to put in the lintel higher so I have more options when we come to finish.

Are there any risks in doing this?

Is it even possible?

This is a cavity block built house by the way
