Help Identifying This Bathroom Hardware
Comments (3)The towell bar does look similar to the link you sent to Sanliv. However, there is no sign of the toilet paper holder on the Sanliv site. It must be a different manufacturer. Does anyone have any ideas. Thanks...See MoreNeed Help with Master Bathroom Towels
Comments (2)You are correct, can't drill tempered glass. There are towel bars which will clip over the top edge of a glass shower enclosure. I remember discussing them with our glass supplier when planning our bathroom. Might check Bed, Bath & Beyond too. How about the back of your door. Might there be space there for towels. Or, consider robe hooks. Some prefer hooks for their towels instead of rods and they certainly require less wall space....See MoreIs this bad design? Bathroom hand towel placement
Comments (18)Yes, I thought of that as well, @bpath. Don't think I'll have enough space though. Probably going with a 30" vanity and the goal is to keep its top clear to facilitate daily sink cleaning. Right now, the counter clutter makes a simple sink swipe a pita. I was thinking of adding a shelf under the medicine cabinet to collect the "essential" daily clutter. (We're very much "out of sight, out of mind" people so putting everything away in cabinets is a pipe dream.) Yes, the shelf will be a pita to clean as well but it can be done weekly. ETA: @Sueb20, what's the trick to choosing towel hooks that actually hold towels? Is there a desired angle range for hooks or should I be sewing loops into my towels to make sure they don't fall off? I see so many hooks that aren't hooks. We had a simple metal hook on the door and the towel often ended up on the floor. In any case, after so many years, the hollow core door was no match for it and the hook came off. Command hook now does the job but I'll be wanting a more aesthetic option when we remodel. And the hooks will be on the wall, not the door. I need to figure out their placement so I know where to add wall support. It's these little details that I want to get right because they affect the functionality of the space and therefore my enjoyment. I don't want to redo this space only to end up with the same "issues". This is the similar shape to the hook we had. This is from CB2. I don't know how well that would hold a towel in place?? The devil is in the details, they say. Maybe I'm possessed and not obsessed. :P...See MoreHeat Mat, Towel Warmer & Heat Register - Best Options for Bathroom
Comments (17)The heat fan that I have installed (Panasonic Whisper quiet) has a 1600 watt heater. I just took a shower after work and took a thermometer into the bathroom with me. My bathroom isn't very large (8'x10') and it is rather warm in my house right now without heat or AC running (72). In the 10-15 minutes while I took my shower the temperature in the room went from 72 to 80. I think a towel warmer is meant to warm towels and my heater fan is meant to provide supplemental heat to the bathroom while you get your shower. I have never owned a towel heater and it might be nice to wrap up in a warm towel, but I don't think it would stay warm very if I am drying myself with it....See MoreNancy in Mich
