Maybe go for something like Sea Salt, which works well with just about everything. It's a color while still acting like a neutral.

What I see of your house, it looks nice, however, yep, I sure agree, paint color needs to be changed. Another case of yellow paint with light oak cabinets, and yellow, or yellowish tints do not work with natural or light colored oak. Blues, greens, aqua are the best colors for it, and white will also work. The sea salt in the post above would work well. enjoy your new home.

Take your unchanging surfaces in the kitchen into account. I agree with Sea Salt or a warm geige.

NO to the mint. Whispering waterfall might work with the right lighting, but I'd stick to a neutral warm white and add color with accessories. You have a lot of gold and reddish tones in your floors, countertops and wood, and the wrong greenish tones will look terrible.

Salmon Pink for the living room? Is all your furniture light and neutral in color because that's all that will work with that paint color?

Maybe you should consider confining you bright colors to the accessories in the rooms instead

Is the flooring all wood, with tile in kitchen area in a orange/brown look? Take that into consideration for wall color. Are you a person who enjoys color? What furniture colors do you have or envision?? Always start with main furniture and rugs before wall color. It is tempting to just get paint on the walls, but many have done this and regretted it. They suddenly found a sofa they adore in peach and the wall color that "was" great, no longer works. It happens all the time. Even off whites can be problematic. Painting is hard work, costly and you want it to be right the first time. Take you time, get into the home and figure out furniture placement. See how it "feels" to you. It will only take a few weeks to analyze what you think you would like, or get furniture you want in the main rooms then you can do the painting.

Great floors! I agree with trying a warm white with all your wood. It's hard to get a read on your space with the close pictures though. Fresh and bright and allows you to bring in color with furniture and art.

White walls for the whole house. Midnight blue on the kitchen soffits and the island.

If you are covering the darker shade with a lighter one using Behr or Valspar paint. I hope you bought an extra 2 or 3 gallons per room in order to get the job done..

It will not take long before you will see why you need an extra 2 or 3 gallons per room.

I would call that a coral pink, not salmon. FWIW!

The above pinks are pretty intense, while a coral pink that is more toned down/earthier - more of a terra cotta or pinky beige - might be easier to live with and would relate better with your wood. I had that once in a living-room and it was actually quite beautiful.

Since Sea Salt was mentioned, this is our front entry room which was just painted in that color.
