A few people are having that trouble on other forums. It took me several times to successfully post the Show Me Yours picture thread.

People's posts and comments aren't showing up on the cooking forum.

Odd website behavior is often fixed by doing some or all of the following - clearing the browser's history and cached files, using a different browser and/or re-booting the PC. The first two are usually most effective.

I was having picture posting issues this morning. I backed out of the browser I was using, then immediately signed back in to that same browser and all worked fine.

Widespread odd website behavior sits squarely on the shoulders of the website.

It's definitely houzz! Same problems on various of the forums. It has been going on for awhile now. Some days I can't post pictures, some times it goes through the motions and you think it is done but it has disappeared. Strange stuff. But lots of changes going on with houzz. My browser clears on close.

ravencajun, haven't you previously said you most often use tablets?

I encounter more website problems on all kinds of sites with tablets (and we have both Android and iPad varities), and more consistently and frequently so, than I ever do with a PC.

Maybe there is site-producing software that's more android/IOS friendly, and some that is less so? Or more Firefox friendly and less so for others? I know for my employer's website, you can't use Chrome. Don't even think of it. I've asked and they just suggest using anything other than Chrome. A few years ago, before they restructured (and re-coded?) the site, Chrome worked great but you couldn't use Firefox. Now, they've switched, Firefox works fine.

I think this is the first time I have heard of someone unable to respond. Hope the issue gets resolved quickly.

I don't have any problems with this site. I use a mac and surf on the Safari browser. Sometimes I log in from work where I use a pc and the chrome browser. Every once in a while I will come here on my iPhone using the safari browser on it. Never any problems at all.

Hi Elmer, hoping you can answer a question for me. I once cleared my browser's history and cached files (or at least that's what I think I did) and all my passwords that were autosaved were no longer there. Is this something that happens when you do it? or maybe I did it wrong?

ETA: maybe I'm wrong and it was cookies I cleared.

Yes, saved passwords are deleted, you did nothing wrong. That's a security and safety feature, not an inconvenience.

For any website that matters (financial, personal, email, etc), you should really sign out when you're done with your session anyway. For fluffy ones like this site, it probably doesn't matter but as a matter of having consistently good habits, I always sign out of sites and clear the browser of retained files when I'm done.

Excessive cache build-up can significantly bog down PCs, especially under-equipped (ie, inexpensive) ones and also especially ones used by people who tend to have a lot of windows or tabs open at once.

I do not correspond on here but so far the posts that I have made blur for about ten seconds then finally post.

If you save logins, clearing the cache such as site data, cookies and history will not delete saved logins.

If you're using FF, see Options/privacy & security/logins &
passwords/saved logins. Be sure to check "ask to save logins and
passwords". You can choose which sites to save logins. Of course, houzz is pretty safe to save the login.

You can also choose, "keep me logged in" at Houzz.

Thanks for the responses. I don't have saved passwords for any of my important personal stuff (financial, etc.), but I do have about 5 or 6 sites for work (homework sites) as well as personal ones like houzz and pinterest so it did feel like a burden to have to retrieve passwords.

On Chrome, my browser, It has a box you check next to saved passwords....it's an option to delete or not. I "delete". Also auto fill...."DELETE"!

If you use the access feature on the anti-virus software, you'll see three advisors.

A green check, a blue question mark, and a red X. Avoid blue and red.
