Comments (4)I am curious why you are looking for citrus bud wood. There is a huge selection of citrus trees available to mail order from anyone of the many exotic citrus developers. I am also curious what rootstock you have chosen. Do you plan to grow in ground. I wanted to start a citrus tree company here in Cincinnati that sold Meiwa kumquat trees grafted to Poncirus trifoliata. I started my pilot grafting program with a success rate of less than 0.7%. I chose my name of ponciruspilate to represent my endeavorers but was told that name might be a little bit religiously incorrect so I chose poncirusguy. Comments (2)Don't know much (anything) about it, but if I recall, during a search for sprigging, that seed sale is rare (maybe harvesting issues?) and that it is one of the grasses commonly planted by sprig. Look for a turf farm near you that grows it....See MoreCan I propagate Rosa fortuniana through seed? Where can I buy it?
Comments (5)I have never seen Fortuniana set seed anywhere I have encountered or grown it. Fortuniana is considered to be a cross between R. Banksiae and R. Laevigata, therefore a hybrid which would not germinate true to the type from seed. So, no, IF you could find Fortuniana seed, you would not be able to raise the exact rose you are looking for from its seed. And, I know of no source for Fortuniana seed as it has never set seed in my experience. Where are you located? You may be able to obtain cuttings, depending upon where you live....See MoreLaura LaRosa (7b)
