Comments (18)We do have a liquor cabinet that came with the Salem Rd house: This room was probably meant to be a dining room when the house was built, but we always ate in the kitchen, since we have a nice table there. I normally used this table for sewing, but here it is being used for a party for Kevin's birthday March 2023. It also was used as overflow storage from the kitchen for small appliances, but the iron in the cabinet was used for sewing. Liquor is stored in the bottom. We haven't decided whether to move this to our new house. We are not selling the Salem house until 2026, for tax reasons....See MoreI'll show you mine/you show me yours - M 8/25/25
Comments (30)@chartreuse scorpion, when we went to Ocracoke in 2011, the Outer Banks highway to Hatteras was still washed out from damage by hurricane Irene. The only access was by a 2 1/2 hour ferry from the mainland, so that’s how we got on the island. Very few tourists. It was really nice....See More

Mia, and her shadow, tanning in the sunshine through the glass door. She loves to find a "hot spot" in the house. Notice she has one of her favorite toys sunning with her.
7 years agolast modified: 7 years agoOn Saturday, right before the worst of the storm hit. I took it to be a rainbow, a sign. It's one of the first blooms of the growing season in my yard. I now have Narcissus 'Tete a Tete' and N. willkommii blooming too. Already had pansies and my quince bush blooming.
