Comments (20)Thank you for the condolences everyone. We were very lucky that Merrybells settled right in to our family. She didn't listen to us very well for the first 4 months but she was absolutely ecstatic to have Noble our Labradoodle as her companion. He just welcomed her into the fold. He looked after her and kept an eye on her. One time she got out when the gate didn't latch properly. He scooted right out after her and chased her back. He can be scary sounding as he's got a huge voice when he's barking and chasing someone. He's all bark and big muscles and no bite though. He would much rather kiss you. That was the first and last time she got out but after that she didn't even try. Comments (15)Matate y Mano: a Matate (also spelled metate) is a stone with a concave upper surface used as the lower millstone for grinding grains and especially corn. A Mano is the stone you hold in your hand to crush and grind the grain. Used by our Native Americans, and some still use them. BTW, ”Mano” is the Spaish word for “hand”....See Morejim_1 (Zone 5B)
