Comments (62)So many wonderful S's! Thankfully I have some of these that I have not planted yet, but my goodness I could add at least one from every person who posted. Saija I got Silver Shadows and your pic makes me really happy I did. sunnywood I have Sara's Sensation. Yours is stunning! How long has it been in your garden and how large a plant did you start with? Thank you newhostalady. Smokey Mountains is one that has especially nice buds & quite nice flowers to add to it's character. Snow Cap is on Don Rawson's list of difficult to grow but it likes it here. I grow 5 others that are on the list that have given me no trouble at all. GE is also on the list but you certainly have no issues growing it to perfection!...See MoreHosta Wish List 2018 ....
Comments (22)I have wishlists from 2017, 2018, and now this year. Some of the names have been crossed off - either because I bought them or because they received unfavorable mention on the forum. So it's a process.... I'm trying not to buy very many this year because I have so many in pots waiting to be planted. So far I've ordered six: Country Sun Drop Korean Snow Midnight Oil Purple Verticulated Elf Risky Business Tea & Crumpets I added Risky Business to the order after seeing so many beautiful ones in the alphabet this year. I'm still planning to place another order or two. Others I'd definitely like are: Faith Queen of the Seas Rascal Sharp Dressed Man Kaleidochrome Spilt Milk Some I saw in this alphabet, some have been on the list(s) for quite some time. Wishful thinking: that I could find space for Komodo Dragon, Beckoning, and a few other large ones.... we'll see about that over time....See MoreHosta X, Y and Z
Comments (25)Sally nice ones. Hope they get added to the HL sometime this year. hosta_maker I like a good corrugated leaf and Yellow Hat certainly has that. Saija interesting colouration on YPDB. Mine has never gone white. How much sun is it getting? What a lovely YSR. mbug another wonderful YR. YPDB is getting popular with us! Debra no ZS never goes all green. The downside to it is a very thin leaf. YB is very nice indeed & ZZP is terrific. I am sure we will all look forward to seeing it over the years. I seem to recall it is a fairly recent intro to your garden. old_dirt a beautiful YM. Steve X-cellent really is. YV is good looking. ZF is interesting and that corkscrew leaf is the best. Ann that would be a shame if all your cloud pics get distortion. I did not know that was a thing. I was so happy to get an external hard drive at Christmas. It is a fabulous pic of the hawks!...See Morenicholsworth Z6 Indianapolis
