Any ideas on what happened to these marigolds is welcomed.
Comments (8)Thanks to everyone for your responses. ZM, I think I spoke to you about my zinnias earlier. They were in the same veggie plot in a row perpendicular to the marigolds. They had a fungus and I removed them after we spoke. Do you think that fungus could have jumped to the marigolds? The reason I'm concerned is that this is the only plot I have for veggies and I would hate to think the soil is infected with a virus that is going from one plant to another. The peppers (which were right next to the infected zinnias) and everything else look fine. There had been plenty of rain in my absence so it wasn't water and it just seems odd that a cold wind/frost would have only hit the marigolds. I didn't see anything - bugs or webs - on them. But I'll look closer and check for webs this weekend....See MoreIdeas welcome! Large empty exterior wall space.
Comments (1)Trellises. I like these. They look neat and strong, you can use the number you want and space them out as you want. Take local advice on what to grow on them. http://www.gardenmetalwork.com/Trellis.htm...See MoreExterior Makeover Ideas Welcome
Comments (5)You can beef up the columns but removing them is not an option they hold up the porceh roof and suit the house. Remove all the shutters none of them are the right size and multi windows do not have shutters. Widen your walk way and add plantings all along it on both sides add some planters on the porch and a new door with some glass in it. I would paint the house white , remove some of the over grown vegetation at the front , the tree needs to go you could transplant it into that spot in the front lawn.A lot of landscaping is dependant on how much you want to work in the yard. You could line the walkway with easy to care for evergreen shrubs that might require some trimming in the spring or a wide flower bed with a mix of shrubs, perennials and some ferns etc. In fornt of the house some what are called foundation plantings are always pretty like the one in this pic...See MoreHelp! Comments (4)The ceiling tiles looks like they of the age that they could contain asbestos. As long as they are not crumbling paint would be good or covering with sheetrock. If you start taking them down they should be tested....See MoreJenny D
