Comments (62)It's mostly my potted hostas that are really coming along! Although I looked out the kitchen window this morning and montana Aureomarginata (out in the garden) is clearly visible even from a distance. So, even though it's been there two years it's still not a very large plant, and I think if we get a surprise freeze I'll be able to invert a pot over it for protection. I do have daylilies up several inches, and daisies, and the peonies and clematis are coming right along. Shadow - "stretch and stay hydrated"! Indeed! LOL! Comments (26)Shadow..my Sum and Substances have large leaves but overall they aren't as large as BA..it's good to know that Empress Wu is slow for others too..maybe this is our year!.. peren..your Blue Angel is bigger than a lot of bathrooms!!..before I moved BA it was 4 to 5 ft..it's a littIe smaller since the move..I should measure it this year..I think it should be bigger this year.....See MoreHosta Blue 2018 ...
Comments (43)Nicholsworth - yes, that is Euonymus. It has more gold in the spring, and is evergreen. There are variegated varieties that keep more contrast throughout the season. Thank you Oursteelers - that’s a favourite garden. One of the best parts is that it’s next to our swimming pool, so I get a great view from below. I love this thread - so many beautiful blues!
