Comments (1)The picture seems to show an o-ring just above the white plastic piece and looks worn out. Use some sort of hook to remove the old ring. Use some plumber's grease when putting the new one back on. Comments (6)5. If this is a new sink, you put the faucet on before mounting the counter top to the base. In this case, you have clear access to the mounting hardware, which mostly goes on by hand. If the counter top has already been mounted, then you need a faucet wrench.basin wrench And some plumbers putty. 6. depending on your cutoff (and if you don't have a main cutoff in the house), you might need one of these. water main key Crescent wrenches (different sizes) work better than channel locks in my opinion. Comments (2)This video shows the replacement of the cartridge after the faucet has been taken apart. At 2:22 he replaces the allen screw. If the screw cannot be removed, you might try applying penetrating oil to loosen it. Kano Kroil penetrating oil is phenomenal (though smelly) and might be useful to have around to loosen valves and other stuck items in the future....See Moregeoffrey_b
