I recently had SUPERCORE SPC plank flooring installed over 1200 + square feet in my house that has just sold. It is beautiful flooring and it will be installed throughout my new home. I bought it from WeShipFloors.com. They are great people to deal with, and have been very helpful to me. There is a lot of info on their webpage about SuperCORE. The crew that did my install were very impressed with the flooring. I like the rustic look, but I know it’s not for everyone. SuperCORE comes in about 50 colors I think and numerous wood patterns. It has an aluminum oxide top coating which is very resistant to scratching. It also has an attached foam backing. They will send you samples that can help to narrow down your color choice. I chose a color from several samples and then ordered a full box to click together to get a better idea of the color and pattern of Krypton. I have not been disappointed. I am attaching some photos, but the lighting is not very good and the color is off. The photo of the sample box of flooring with my cat is truer to the color than the photos of it after install. I also like that it can be installed over a large area without thresholds between rooms. Good luck in your search. If you check out SuperCORE, I think you will be impressed. I preface this reply by saying that it may step on some toes and is not for the easily offended... Think of your floor cleaning like your teeth cleaning: you can brush, floss, and gargle on your own to your heart's delight. But at the end of the day, it can't replicate the cleaning performed by a hygienist in the dentist office. In other words, you need to have a professional cleaning company periodically clean your vinyl floors. I know, most of you DYIers had it installed to get away from carpet, tile, and other flooring that has traditionally required professionals to maintain. Truth is, you DO NOT own the equipment needed to get these floors, particularly the ones with a textured profile, completely clean like they were prior to install. And while the flooring companies didn't outright lie to you (calling it low maintenance rather than no maintenance), they certainly led you astray by letting you to believe that a little hot water or their overpriced, product-specific cleaner was all you needed. So, find a reputable local cleaner to professionally clean your LVP floors. Got kids and dogs? Do you go barefoot or wear outdoor shoes in the house? Get your floors professionally cleaned every single year. The rest of you? Every 2-3 years. In the meantime, stop using steam. Stop using acidic (vinegar) and high ph (ammonia) products. Dump the bleach, Murphy's Oil Soap, Rejuvenate, Bona, Mop n Glow, Orange Glo, and all types of polishes. Only use a neutral cleaner in between professional cleanings. Oh, and those area rugs you put down to cover up the unsightliness of your floors? They're likely voiding your flooring warranty (probably not a big deal because many have already done so with their unapproved cleaning methods and lifestyle).

I will be starting a renovation of my second floor later this year, and will be putting in all new flooring. I really don't want carpeting but, at the same time, I would like something that is less noisy than hardwood. Have been looking at Engineered Vinyl Plank (EVP) and Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP). I have LVP in my kitchen and love it, but have heard good things about EVP. Does anyone have experience with one or both, or any recommendations? Thank you!

Go with the second option, you will have less waste. It is also, the length of the two larger spaces, which will look best.
