Could you please post pictures of your Adura? We are currently planning to order about 1000 square feet of it (the LVT planks) in a couple of weeks. It would be very helpful to see pictures of what you do not like about it. The reviews are SO variable here--some people like it and some people hate it. Based on my research and taking home multiple samples, it SEEMS to be the best choice for us. Our dealer has a plank he has let people take home and "abuse"--with Goof-Off, gun black (?), permanent marker, cigarette "burns" etc. Nothing affected it except paint stripper. I took a key and scratched it REALLY hard and there were some extremely MINOR scratches that were only visible in certain light and looking at it right up close. I also tried to scratch it with the dogs' nails and the edge of a quarter. That is what really sold me on this brand--how little that plank reacted to all the things people were trying to do to it (it was a leftover plank from part of that showroom floor that had Adura planks installed on it). Oh, and the showroom floor looked great as well. [I am not questioning your experience, but would be very interested to see photos due to our plan to spend a lot of money on this stuff. Thanks.)

Kind of reversed. MCKB is a joint venture of Drimmers and a cabinet place (whose name I forget) also on Coney Island Ave in Brooklyn. Drimmers was the worst in terms of customer service when I was appliance shopping and I would not purchase from them. I didn't care for the service or design I received from the owner of the cabinet place. However, I generally liked MCKB. Although I did not purchase from them, I shopped there a few times and they were generally positive experiences. Sales people offered assistance without pressure or hovering. The KD I spoke with there about cabinets was helpful and pleasant. She designed the displays I was looking at which were at least comparable to what I saw in the A&D building.

I live in Manhattan and grew up on the UES. I think that the ROI on an electric fireplace, in general, would be low. You could put in a lot of money and afterwards you might think that the addition is wonderful. The salient point to bear in mind, if you're thinking of selling in the near-term, is to try and make your home have as close to universal appeal as possible. Make things as beautiful as you can, but opt for neutral changes that are likely to turn off the fewest number of people. I find it helpful, when I'm considering changing anything in our Manhattan condo, to think as though I'm staging our home, as a way of deciding whether to make a change or not. Best of luck

Hi, we are considering installing luxury vinyl plank (LVP) in our condo building hallways for ease of maintenance and durability. 1. Has anyone had success with using LVP (e.g., Karndean's Art Select or COREtec) in a commercial or multi-family common area? 2. What is your experience with durability and can you please post pictures? 3. Do you recommend glue down installation or specific manufacturers/product lines? Thanks for sharing your experience!
