HAVE: Have a bunch of stuff, and no idea what I'm doing.
Comments (46)Rosie: The Plurabelle that I had to trade is gone; sorry about that. I only have one (big) rhizome left, but I'm not going to try to split it this year. I may try it nest year, as I gradually shift all of my Irises out toward the front of my property. I'm close to being done sending things out - I'm sending a package tomorrow, resending a pink/white bulb to someone, helping someone out who lost all her plants, and then trading with someone in a few weeks due to weather restrictions. If I e-mailed someone in this thread and we agreed on a trade, and I HAVEN'T conversed with you, please let me know. Stuff that I've learned: 1) This takes a LOT more time than I had anticipated. 2) Blue flag Siberian Irises could probably be used for the foundation of a house. 3) Asiatic Lily Bulbs require a far quicker turnaround time than daylilies or Irises....See MoreWhich is worse..octagonal windows or polyester pants
Comments (29)Now that the really cool bossy kids lunch table is filling up I can see that in our house octagonal windows would be a tacky choice. This is not a classy house at all. It's pretty much homemade with pros coming in to do stuff we can't and to laugh at us. I am going to start a new thread to combine this thread with my one about the fireplace being a squirrel freeway ( is that allowed or would that be a gardenweb no no. I'm new to posting and am sure I've already broken the rules but I'm just ignorant, not malicious.) I will post a computer drawing my husband has cooked up with the windows in a more socially acceptable shape, square. Can someone tell me how to post a link to the old threads in my new post. My Luddite ways are hindering me. I can build a chimney but heaven forbid I do a function from computer 101 without someone holding my hand....See MoreIphones and Iphone cases
Comments (22)Got the iphone xs max last night but was too busy to look at it. Oh my, i love it. The screen is so big and so fab. The facial recognition doesn't even require a pause; you pick it up and it sees you. It does not feel "to big" at all to me. The camera is wondrous! Set up was so easy. The two phones literally talked to each other. The new one took a picture of some sort of a code that appeared on the old one. ANd then it did its thing. Bravo....See Moremixing base/case trim paint colors?
Comments (4)1st-yes, and 2nd-yes. doing a black trim w/kids won't be any more work than white. pick a glossy finish and it's very easy to clean. There are no rules. do what makes you happy. I did Simply White on my walls and my base, crown and casing. since the trim is a semi-gloss and the other an eggshell, there is a slight diff can you see the slight difference in color? I'm sure you've seen pics of dark trim and white walls. But lighter grays and gray/blues for trim work are also becoming popular this one is a navy blue trim. and here's the black w/your heavy door trim you were mentioning. just doing a black door makes a huge diff. and walls in this Wrought Iron color look fab next to a bright white trim...See More
