Do I need louvered doors on my W/D closet?
Comments (7)I lived in a house for a short time years back that had a laundry closet off the kitchen. The doors were non louverd but one had a small vent near the bottom to alow air in for the dryer. I think its needed not just a sugestion. if you limit the air flow in and out of your dryer you will incress the drying time and it may cause the dryer to have hot spots inside due to the poor air flow. either way it will only make the dryer sound a little louder with the vented or louverd door closed than a solid door which is better than running it longer and wasting energy....See MoreRemember my 18ft sliding closet doors? update and more questions
Comments (7)It looks like the large panels in the center are the ones that have 2 panels glued together and don't pass underneath other doors. If so, I'd hang art on each of the glued panels. I'd also arrange or replace the lights so that only the artwork is highlighted. If you need light for inside the closets, can you mount some boxes in there? If you have small children I'd paint the doors for now...either the same as the wall or a shade lighter. Is the area temp controlled? Just wondering why you'd need a dehumidifier if the walls and floor are covered and there's heat down there. Can't agree with your contractor on the barn doors warping. I think he just didn't know how to deal with them....See MoreFound 2 dead birds in my driveway today, what happened?

A few hours later, i think i say the mother bird hanging around. This is really sad!...See MoreCan I permanently cover that little 'attic' door in my closet?
Comments (15)In 19 years, we hadn't once looked in our attic that was accessed through our master closet. That is until we were listing our house for sale and decided we should take a look. Found mold from an improperly vented bathroom fan and had to have it remediated. Three years before we had a California Closet system installed in that closet and worked around access to the opening. Whatever you decide, make sure you have access to the attic....See Morecat_ky
