I ordered blackout shades for my guest room over the holidays (3). Dh installed them and the largest one had three tiny holes. I called the number immediately and within a week I had a replacement...no questions asked. They didn't want the old one back. I was pleased. I would call them. Have your order number ready when you call them.

I'm researching this but have not bought them. Cost wise (for my project) the blinds ran an additional 18% higher than without. I'd get your own cost, however, (with and without blinds) I am attempting to do some really tall door panels. I have learned that the "wand" option is only available up to a certain "weight". For taller heights (maybe in your case too) the external vertical "cord pull" is all that is available. I gave up on blinds years ago. I think they are big dust collectors. I had custom roller shades made for some rooms--I really like them--they do a great job blocking out sun for sleep and you can leave them partially down or up for sunlight and air.

Hi Roseanna. Just curious what route you went with your windows. We have similar decorating style and I'm in the same situation. I'm leaning towards shutters.
