Ceiling/Trim suggestions for Stonington Gray?
Comments (4)I know all color is relative, but it seems to me like whites are even more so. So if you do a swatch of Mascarpone next to Designer White or Simply White, it looks creamier, but next to gray it really seems to pop. It's also very hard to capture white in photos, but here's me giving it a shot. Everything white you see in that picture (ceiling, banquette, table, etc.), OTHER than the trim around the window (I haven't gotten to it yet) and the chairs is Mascarpone. The wall color is Revere Pewter for reference. What's interesting is that I think the existing trim color (the one still around the window) is probably White Dove, which is a very common trim color that most people consider to be a white white, and in this room, the Mascarpone appears brighter and cleaner (and therefore, in my opinion, whiter) than the White Dove does. Hope that helps. Whites are the hardest and I agonized over the selection of one for months....See MoreTrim suggestions for SW Hearts of Palm?

Since this is for cabs & trim, I'd highly recommend a special class of paints for "Cabinets & Trim"! There are a few good brands. Faron...See MoreDIY Window Trim Suggestions
Comments (3)The sills would need to extended or replaced to accommodate the wider trim needed on the ends to complete the look and the apron replaced As it is to short and would not go with the style. I think some window coverings/curtains would help with look you have now. When I did my house I made some mocks ups and tacked them on and altered them until I was happy....See MoreUser
