My one regret with the black island is that I chose a shaker door without a bevel. Those little corners are hard to clean and the black shows everything! If I could do it over I would still do a black island but it would be a stained wood, painted black and then distressed. That way any nicks and bumps show wood and not a white chip. We are considering changing that down the road.

Custom paint can be mixed for any solid colour swatch the size of a quarter or larger. Sherwin Williams has SO many colours there should be one that is identical or nearly so to your wallpaper. Do not select the final colour in the store. My SW has such terrible lighting I take the pieces of paper outside in the sunshine before taking home to look at in the actual room.

It seems darker in person (and more of a navy) than the french violet, and less purple than the wizard! - but that points me in the right direction. Maybe Wood Violet with Galaxy... Thanks!
