Comments (51)steve..I'm behind in my hosta gardening..I've planted hosta every year since I moved in but spent more time and money on shrubs and trees..when I moved in my priority was shrubs and understory trees..I had towering trees, groundcover and some perennials but wanted screening..then I planned to fill gaps with hosta and shade plants..I'm so glad that I had the foresight to plant my shrubs and trees..they've grown and I have privacy and "good bones"..now I can work on the "eye candy" beds.....See MoreHosta L 2020 NO Lakesides
Comments (45)i am in zone 5b, I think. I am in the Cleveland area about 5 miles south of Lake Erie. Our summers have been extremely warm and we haven't had much rain over the past 5-6 years. I have Linda Sue in a shaded area that gets some morning sun. Even that seemed to burn the leaves so I replanted it further back in the bed under the oak trees so that it wouldn't burn. I will try and dig out some pictures I took last summer. I am not good at organizing my pictures so I will see what I can find. Wade & Gatton was in Bellville which is about 90 minutes south of me. Van Wade had lots of Linda Sues planted in an area that got quite a bit of sun but they never looked as bad as mine does in morning sun....See MoreSaija_Finland
