Thanks for the advice guys. I'll move it today. The large blue came with the house. We've been here 15+ years. I've called it AD for years but I think it is really Love Pat. I have about 12 divisions of it scattered around the property and if it were AD they would be larger. Very slow growing but gorgeous in shade. Really holds the blue color.

Actually, Praying Hands and Thunderbolt were tied at 39th. If I'm reading correctly, the ties are arranged in alphabetical order. But this still raises the question, how many people participated in the poll? What we have here, as in so many lists, is a popularity contest. These are the choices of the particular group polled. I find lists like this useful, but I always keep in mind that what we have is simply a matter of opinion. Thanks, Papou, for sharing this with us.

Hi lsu ; I have only done hosta mail order hosta 2x. Bridgewood in '06 got tc s that came very well packaged in pots & healthy. Blue Angle, Earth Angel, a few others all are BIG, one or two eyed 2ft across now a year later. I ordered from White Oak last spring got bare root divs ,very well packaged & healthy. They included many extras , I think I got at least 6 eyes more than I ordered. These have grown like crazy this year & I am happy to see them catching up w/ the 06 plants already. Both places I would order from again in a heartbeat, although I liked the pricing better & freebies at WO & the website better at BW. I hope to try new sources too, next season as the wish list plants can be found all in one place.~ Dot

It will be difficult to find something to "balance Liberty" in my opinion. Liberty has been in the top 3 of the AHS Popularity Poll since 2008. And that is for good reason. I like Jon's idea of growing another Liberty in place of Komodo Dragon. "however space being premium duplicating Liberty sounds depressing lol" I understand about your space being at a premium as I have that problem too. But most of the hosta that I love, I have duplicates of! You could try something different like---Majesty, Ivory Coast or Clifford's Forest Fire---which are look alikes of Liberty. That way you would have something different, but very similar to Liberty. I agree with Jo that symmetry is the way to go for your bridge. But you need to be happy with your choices.
