Zephrine Drouhin climber not blooming
Comments (17)Thanks for all the input! I'm glad to see I'm not the only one. This is the first climber I've planted so I haven't known what to expect. I managed to kill a carpet rose...not very encouraging. Okay, the April freeze and then a (flooding) rain in May in this area may have contributed, as it was starting on it's 2nd season. Every nursery worker I talked to smirked as they said "You're not supposed to be able to kill those". Just my luck. I seem to be good at growing things but not getting them to bloom....I hope my kids turn out better than my plants. Thanks again!...See MoreHAVE: Climber Rose : Zephrin Drouhin

Comments (2)I have a number of roses you might be interested in: Climbers: R. mulliganii, Veilchenblau, Zepherine Drouhin, Narrow Water, Red Cascade. Large shrubs who act like climbers: R. x Hibernica (Wild Irish Rose), R.alba semi-plena (White Rose of York), Moonlight, The Gift, etc. Take a look at my trade list; I have many more I've not got round to listing, so if there's something you're looking for, do ask; I may have it....See MoreZephirine Drouhin or MME ISAAC PEREIRE for FL?
Comments (21)Hi nik, I was thinking of Mrs B R Cant which is a tea. She gets big and has nice medium pink double flowers and is not a climber but she would still work. I may get her for another spot. Jasmina does look beautiful I like the full shape of her flowers. I will have to research on if she would do well here. I found these photos of Jasmina paired with Laguna...WOW!! http://www.mein-schoener-garten.de/experten/blog/rosen_und_mehr/2012/07/07/laguna-und-jasmina-kletterrosen Teas are new to me and I got a bunch of them this year :) I hope they work out for me here. We are hot and humid but drier in the late fall winter and early spring (unless it is a wet year like the last couple lol). We have a rainy season in the summer where it can rain almost every day at least a little, just enough to steam it up and make it miserable. ~sjn...See Morecomtessedelacouche (10b S.Australia: hotdryMedclimate)
