You know all those spectacular tropicals y'all grow in pots? Elephant Ears are an absolute plague here in the Deep South. I paid eight whole dollars for Illustris, and it took five years of extremely dedicated work to get rid of it. I laid the dug out plants on my driveway and let them cook in the (southern) sun so they'd die....everytime it rained, they'd revive. I finally bagged them up and sent them to the dump. Then there are River fern, aka Thelypteris kunthii (free plants...do your homework before planting!), yellow flag iris (the seeds are viable forever, but the seedlings are easy to pull young. good thing.), Goldsturm rudbeckia (yes, they seed for years after the plants are gone), and OBEDIENT plant (ha!). Here's one that I am keeping a watchful eye on: Puple Loropetalum. If you damage a root while working in your bed, you get a sucker immediately. Man, I hope these aren't going to be problematic. They're my favorite purple foliage plants for our area.

Seeing as the rest of us don't have access to Milgard internal warranty processing...why don't you fill us in...or is your point to just trash the name of Milgard in order to cyber bully them into covering something that they aren't legally required to cover. How long ago was the home built? I see nothing in Milgard's warranty that would prevent them from covering a seal failure. If you are going to come onto a national forum to attempt to malign a brand by posting on every thread with Milgard in the name, perhaps you could do us the favor of giving us the background on what has happened, how old the windows are, what the company response has been, their rational for denying the claim and so forth. Or...I guess you could do like you are doing now and just "sh*tpost" about a brand wherever you can in the internet equivalent of a temper tantrum in an effort to get what you think you deserve. Pretty sure that Milgard would have no legal basis to deny your claim if it was legally covered in the documents. Unless you are just trying to say that they have singled out "Trevor Peterson" to really stick it to. Newsflash...they aren't. Your default to victim-hood status is just another damning example of where we are at. You aren't giving the full story...and probably for a reason.

We stayed in an oceanfront rental in the outer banks and it had the lovesac sactional and I loved it. It was the sky gray corded material and it felt wonderful and seemed it would be very durable. This was a house that could sleep 14 so it has had it's fair share of wear but it didn't show. Don't know if you have seen that particular color in person, but it seemed more neutral and less gray than you would think the name indicates It will be my next sectional.

I can't imagine separating the cataract removal and the lens implantation. After all, cataracts are simply cloudy lenses. It's not as though a cataract is some kind of growth on our lenses; it's the whole lens, which has become cloudy. When it's removed, we need a new lens--I would think immediately. I had the surgery 12 years ago, a week apart. I wish I'd been offered the option to have it done without Versed, the memory eraser. I asked, but was told Versed was essential. They promised to use the bare minimum. (Yeah, right.) I'd worn glasses since first grade, and was nearsighted with astigmatism. Toric lenses were needed to deal with that, and I paid for them out of pocket. My doctor suggested the "mini-mono" option: distance vision for my dominant eye, and closer focus for the other. It's worked well for me. I've never heard that it affects depth perception, and I certainly haven't noticed that. As for a lot of follow-up, I didn't experience that either. After a couple of months I noticed a problem and was told moisture had built up under the lens. They said it was common (I wish they'd told me it was a possibility before it happened), and the fix was simple: I sat in a chair while a machine used a laser to create a tiny hole in the lens. It took one second, if that. I would make certain the surgeon is experienced. A friend of mine was referred by her eye doctor to a GP who had "taken classes and got a certificate." Um . . . no. The other thing I wish I'd known beforehand is that the corrective lenses might not provide the right amount of correction forever. It never occurred eo me to ask about this; I just assumed I'd never need glasses again. But recently I've noticed that road signs aren't always easy to read. The optometrist said it's normal for eyes to change as we age, and I might need driving glasses. Even though I wish I'd known this, I would have gotten the surgery with the same new lenses anyway. Very happy with the outcome overall.
