Comments (102)Put just the one above the TV for now. That might work with just one piece because it looks like the same width as the TV, which is a good thing :) When your console comes in and you hang the art, we can experiment with having a vase at one end to see how it looks. You aren't restricted to just wall art. You just don't want to get too busy on the wall and console. So some of this will be trial and error to get the right look. As to the love seat: it does need to move to the left if it stays in the room. If you had a smaller end table there you could probably pick up 6 to 10 inches. If both end tables were smaller then you could move the sofa down too and pick up more room on the love seat wall. Are you keeping the chair in the room? It would be ideal if you could keep the sofa on the long wall and the chair on the wall where the love seat is now and find another place in your home for the love seat. But I understand if that isn't in your plan....See MoreFinish my living room - coffee table help
Comments (17)Haha, I thought that is what decorating was all about? Does the color not have to match something I already have, especially if I want to keep it minimal? (Genuine question - this is all over my head) If I was eclectic that would be a different story. Does the style have to match? what about: https://www.crateandbarrel.com/ethan-rectangular-coffee-table/s442632...See MoreTiny living room-one coffee table or two side tables?
Comments (10)I think it is a bit of overkill to have both, especially since they tend to hang out in matched sets. It depends on what kind of entertaining you do. If your guests are likely to turn up the music and need some space to dance, then the coffee table would be in the way. Even if you think you need end tables because you want to increase your lighting with lamps, you can put a pair of matched floor lamps at each end of the sofa and use a coffee table. If you're likely to need extra seating more often than a surface for drinks, an ottoman that can be topped with a tray or used for seating might be best. If your style is very formal to antique, then all three tables might work for you. Be sure end tables arrive 1" above or below the sofa's arms. When topped with lamps, the lamps should reach 58-64" above the floor. Coffee tables should be 12-18" from the seating to be useful, and arrive 1" above or below the sofa seat. Keep it within 2/3 of the sofa's length and half its width....See MoreWhat does my living room need (and what color coffee table is best?)
Comments (7)I think the room looks nice. And I really like the blue paint color you chose but it doesn't complement the FP. I would get an oval glass & brass coffee table. I would put the cabinet the TV is sitting on the wall where the pine cabinet is and get a TV stand that is at least 25% wider than the TV and a bit lower. It would fill the wall better. I would get it closer to the brown of the FP. I would prefer art over the FP because the mirror is reflecting anything worth seeking twice. If you move that tv cabinet, you could then hang the mirror over it and it would reflect the art over the FP. I think the chair would be better where the plant is now....See MoreVic Poliashov
