Herbflavor is absolutely on the mark! Homework is ESSENTIAL! We found that sinks with seemingly equal measurements from different manufacturers have different minimum cabinet size requirements. We also discovered that if a particular manufacturer did not provide spec sheets for their product or their spec sheets were lacking data that other manufacturers provided, we steered CLEAR of that product. We settled on a Julien model with zero radius corners. It was on the high end of price, and ALSO on the high end of quality, service and ultimately our satisfaction! We are absolutely sure we made the right choice after doing all the research.

Help! I need someone else to think this through with me. Sink cabinet is 24" by 36" Blancoprecis super single silgranit sink is 17" by 30" cut out dimensions Current laminate countertop (will be replaced by granite) is 25 1/4" from wall to front edge. Granite 4" backsplash is 3 cm thick (1 1/4") I think. Will this sink work in a 24" deep sink cabinet and still allow enough room for the granite sink rails? The faucet may have to be offset in order to allow free movement of the faucet handle. What do you think?

I always install Kohler cast iron when I can. I love that creamy, satiny look and never clean with more than BKF. I have never seen a Kohler finish wear out, not saying you could not do it. I have hated every stainless sink I have ever had. That said, the Elkay is gorgeous. As to bowls, I went to a single in this last reno and LOVE it. I keep a small white silicone mat by the sink for draining those items I do not instantly dry. I keep a pop-up dishpan tucked under the sink for that rare occasion I might need to soak and drain at the same time. I have needed it twice in 2+ years. My only regret is I installed a 33” and didn’t need it. I could have gone with a 30” or prob even a 27” and saved precious cabinet space. The Kohler Whitehaven bowl is huge.
