Curtain Color Help

This should be a pretty simple question but imI'm never good at color decisions. My walls are a light mint. Thinking of going with a white, light grey, or mint curtains. Thoughts? ImI'm open to other ideas as well. Thanks in advance! And before someone comments, the couches are pushed back toward the windows....Just finished painting the moldings when I took this pic

I think mint colored curtains would blend in too much with the walls. I like white or grey curtains.

We are merely taking stabs at this without seeing photos. I would want the drapes close in color to the wall, but slightly darker rather than slightly lighter. My concern would be that the drapes wouldn't have enough presence in the room against the yellow walls. You also need to take into consideration the comforter colors and make sure they don't clash with the ivory or gold, depending on which you choose.

Black would make the rods POP in your pale room--is that what you want your rods to be a feature? Have the curtains ready, see what blends with them...I would suggest rethinking more pale and try some color......

Because of your radiator, I would suggest Roman blinds for your room. Everything shown in your room is a solid, so you can do a pattern that picks up the mint, grey, white, brown.

Do you suggest curtains with the Roman blinds? Or just have the blinds alone?

Anything hanging in front of the radiator is considered a fire hazard, as is having furniture too close.

Depends what feel and look you want. I've used Vivan white panels from the Swedish big box store in several houses. Hold their shape, diffuse the light. Neutral. Similar would look nice in your room. But I've lived in warm climates and want the airy, light feel. You might want a different light and weight for your space. Cellular blinds or Roman shades can work well too.

White or a Green and White print. Hot water radiators are not fire hazards.

@shadylady2u--We had hot water radiators in the house I grew up in. The big one in the living room and dining rooms had metal covers over them and they were heavenly to sit on on cold days.
