when it's warm and dry? whatever is on my feet really but i've altered my shoe collection to be garden-oriented at this point pretty much. ;) flipflops, soludos espadrilles (good price and comfy), clogs. for when i'm digging and getting muddy i've got a pair of croc boots that i love - so ridiculously comfy - don't get too hot, really soft, easy on and off and waterproof. i can't be bothered with anything that laces or zips anymore. ;) Here is a link that might be useful: croc rain boots

I had read about the mold in the Select Comfort bed a while ago. My husband and I were really close to buying one. I am so glad we didn't. This is one of the reasons I bought memory foam. These companies with air chambers scare me.

I had a down comforter for my old girl. It was fluffy and apparently comfortable. Could be folded or wadded up into shape wherever a bed was needed. Down really packs down small to store or tote, and it's lightweight. Hers was a smaller than average comforter that I found at a thrift store- looked like it had never been used. We laundered it every 7-10 days without any issues. A few years ago we bought a twin sized down comforter at Bed, Bath and Beyond, which has become the community blanket in the living room. It was their "any size for $100" brand. It washes fantastically (and often between coffee and chocolate ice cream). We used one of their 20% off coupons to bring it to $80+ tax-- might be kind of expensive, but it is rather nice as well.

Have you thought of putting a board under the mattress? I got one of those folding things you buy to put under the couch cushions to firm them up. I put it under a comforter on the bed and then a sheet etc over it. It helped a lot. What really helped in getting a good nights sleep was the Neck Pillow I got last week at Walmart for $5.00. It was on the aisle where they have the Seen on Tv things. It is a thick half ring with a removeable washable cover. I can put that around my neck and sleep almost anywhere now.
