Comments (1)big leaves, no flowers is a classic sign of one of two things: not enough sun ... or the wrong fertilizer formula ... if you did not over fertilize them with too much nitro [which encourages vegetative green growth] ... then all you are left with is too little sun ... besides.. i guess you already answered that in the last sentence ... i would move them in fall .... unless you just dont care what they look like.. move them now.. though i would expect sunburn/scorch and wilt .. though you could probably hack them back rather severely .... and they PROBABLY will resprout and take off... ken...See MoreNew plant ID bright purple new plant that looks like a daisy?
Comments (11)My definition is any plant which INSISTS upon being where I insist it not be. Osteos become that here, self seeding and germinating vigorously anywhere they can get a foot hold. Not quite as much as alyssum, and much more vigorously rooted and permanent than that one. If they remained the shorter, bushier plant the ads claim them to be, perhaps they would be nicer. They don't, though. Like a berry plant, they flop over, root along the growth and create new shoots in addition to the seedlings. I doubt you would have the issue elsewhere in climates not like their places of origin, but that's what they frequently do here. Kim...See MoreLars
