Happy Thanksgiving all! Cold, snowy and blustery here - wind chills minus 20. Yikes! ETA - our local radio station plays Alice's Restaurant twice on Thanksgiving Day. I'm waiting for it now. Kind of a fun tradition.

We are very thankful here on the California Central Coast, because last night we had a good rainfall and it was beyond great to hear the rain coming down; we are in deep drought and there is always nervousness about fire (although not nearly so much as up in the mountains). In the early hours of the morning there was a downpour - I opened the deck door to watch it, along with the cats, who were annoyed because they couldn't go out. I just thanked the Almighty, because our garden was finally getting a thorough washing off and a nice drink, too.

There is almost always a reason to be thankful for something!

ETA: This was the first precipitation since last March! The drought is going into its sixth year.
