Shape Based pricing Template-Contact your local PO
Comments (10)Hi mmqc. Yes, I did get mine. My postmaster had said if others had problems, to have me let him know. I anticipated no one else being able to really get one through their PO and didn't really know if he really wanted to take on the task of helping others across the US to get one. I imagine there are budgets for all the local Post Offices and I didn't know how that would work. Here is a pic of mine though. I have to go to town this afternoon, so I'll stop and see if my Post Master is in and has a minute to talk. He is a super busy guy....I'm guessing that is because he is so good at what he does. Yes, I too noticed that the link no longer works and couldn't find anything else on line that says they are to be made available to the general public for free. hmmm...if my PO has any, would you want me to pick you one up and mail it to you? It would be a First Class Parcel rate...12 OZ,,,$3.09. I doubt if you want to pay that though for something you should be able to get for free if the Post Master in your area knows his job....unless they really are no longer available to the general public. It sure comes in handy, coupled with the cheap postal scale I got on Ebay. I always know exactly what the correct postage is, and don't pay the 'Postage Due' when I occasionally get an overcharged envy. Instead I show it at the PO and they see it was not to have been marked as Postage Due, but there is no way of knowing who or where it was stamped that way. Comments (5)Doesn't that chile & the air smell good when those roasters are going?! WalMart had six roasters going at once on a weekend! We made our smaller roaster like those but instead of an electric turner ours is manual & the whole neighborhood can smell the chile roasting & the 'squeal' of the roaster as my husband turns it! Wouldn't you like to have patented that first chile roaster ... who ever designed & built the first one sure should have! Sure beats the 'old days' way of doing it on the wood burning stove, on a platillo on the gas range or on the BBQ outdoors. We used to have to ship our relatives in Austin fresh green chile to them via UPS (UPS in the Fall sure smelled good then too!)so now y'all can get yours locally!! :) My husband uses the roasted & peeled green (either the fresh or frozen)chile chopped up with garlic, onion, & pork or beef small pieces previously cooked & with a bit of flour to thicken while cooking... & uses it every night like a sauce/gravy over everything on his plate! I like to also add some chopped potatoes & tomatoes so it is more like a stew. Tell me it's not addicting!! :) With the red pods x the ristras we make in the Fall x the chile that has turned red we make the same kind of sauce but with the dried red chiles: soak dry red pods over night in water, rinse well & run through a blender. Then run the blended red chile through a sieve: press the blender ground chile through the sieve leaving the seeds & skins in the sieve. Proceed as for the green chile. We freeze the green roasted chile in zip loc baggies in quantities for a batch....See MoreQuestion for Canadian regarding gasoline prices
Comments (4)It's like anywhere...different brands in different locations charge different prices. What has always fascinated me, though, is that we Americans get exercised over a couple of cents a gallon change in gas prices, but then we buy a pint bottle of water at the store and pay a $1-$2 for it without a thought, or we pay as much for a latte as we do for a gallon of gas. Something doesn't add up for me.......See MoreGasoline--Price--2.99
Comments (19)Supply and demand, and what the market will bear. The astronomical profits the oil companies have made in the last 10+ years have become the expected profit, and no one bats an eye. The industry is monopolized because there is little to no competition--they all charge about the same in each market and that price is what they believe people will pay. I live in an area with a very high cost of living and wages that must be higher than average to compensate, and we often have close to the highest gas price; people will find a way to pay for gas because they have to--we don't have a good public transportation that covers all the cities in the area. We have refineries nearby, but that has no bearing....See Moreraee_gw zone 5b-6a Ohio
